The Canadian Friend is currently published three times a year to further the work and witness of the Religious Society of Friends in Canada.

Any interested member or regular attender of affiliated Quakers Meetings in Canada can be added to the group subscription at no cost. We deeply appreciate donations to defray the costs in publishing and distributing the magazine from those with financial means to do so. Details on donations and cost are below.

Individual subscriptions for those not affiliated with Canadian Yearly Meeting are also available.

Print or Electronic?

You can now subscribe to The Canadian Friend electronically or in print. (To see electronic PDF examples, visit the Summer 2020 issue or the back issue archive on The Canadian Friend page)

  • The cost of an individual print subscription is $20 per year in Canada, $30 to the U.S., and $40 to all other countries (all prices in Canadian dollars).
  • The cost of an individual electronic subscription is $10 Canadian.

These amounts reflect what it costs CYM to produce and distribute the magazine, which includes paying workers to edit, lay out, print, and mail the magazine.

How to Subscribe

To subscribe to the print edition, please contact the Canadian Yearly Meeting office with your mailing address. If you are looking to be added to the group subscription as a member or attender, please say what Meeting or Worship Group you are affiliated with.

To subscribe to the electronic edition, fill out the form at the bottom of this page.

How to Donate or Pay for a Subscription

Visit the CYM Donation page to send funds online, through your bank account, or by mail. There is an option to donate through Canada Helps, but please do not use this for subscription payments, as Canada Helps automatically generates a charitable tax receipt.

Indicate with a note that this is a donation or payment for The Canadian Friend.
