March, 2012 Call for Financial Support for a Quaker Youth Project

Halifax Friends Meeting has initiated a social concerns project regarding Youth and Militarism.  The centre piece of this project is funding two Quaker Youth to attend the War Resisters International conference Countering the Militarisation of Youth, being held in Darmstadt, Germany, June 8-10, 2012

 

Our funding target is $4000, which would provide funding for travel from anywhere in Canada to Frankfort, ground transport to Darmstadt, conference registration, accommodation, and meals — approximately 120 Euros, and funds for follow up activities in Canada.

 

Kindly consider supporting Quaker youth for their engagement with this important Quaker concern.  Charitable Donations Receipts will be issued.
