American Friends Service Committee: Serve on their Youth Advisory Council
To help AFSC’s Youth Programs Office receive meaningful input from the constituency it serves: Youth, the Director for Youth Programs seeks nominations for members to serve on the Youth Advisory Council for the upcoming term: August 1st, 2012 – August 1st 2013. The Council will be a diverse group of up to 15 young adults (from 18 to 30 years of age). Council members may come from any of the regions AFSC serves. They can be AFSC staff or members of the outside community familiar with the AFSC and our mission.
The Youth Advisory Council’s Mission:
We, as the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC) Youth Advisory Council, aim to include and highlight a diverse youth voice within the work and vision of AFSC. Overall, we want to ensure that AFSC uses the best methods and strategies in its efforts of working towards peace, justice and humanitarian service around the world for generations to come.
