Call to Conscience – Quaker experiences in facing the challenge of climate change

“A Call to Conscience: Quaker experiences facing the challenge of Climate Change” features interviews with Quakers worldwide on why they care about climate change, and what they are doing to address the challenge locally, nationally and internationally.

QUNO Geneva has created this publication as a form of witness in facing anthropogenic climate change through love and action, rather than fear. The people portrayed span our worldwide Quaker community, from Africa to Europe, Asia Pacific to the Americas.

Interfaith Summit on Climate Change

As part of the global effort to mobilize action on climate changed, the World Council of Churches and Religions for Peace is organizing an Interfaith Summit on Climate change, to be held in New York, 21-22 September 2014.  This is just ahead of the United Nations Climate Summit on 23 September in New York.   The program of the Interfaith Summit will be open to the public.  Registration information is at Inter Faith Summit on Climate Change.  Faith leaders will contribute to creating a coordinated long term interfaith mobilization for climate justice.    If you are going to be in New York and want to march with Quakers go to Quaker Earthcare Witness – and register.
